One of our neighborhood goto places. Not pretentious or fancy but extremely reliable, still affordable and certain things are excellent.

Their pizza is different, it kind of reminds me of Pizza Hut pan pizzas, which have a crispier greasier crust. I like it but if that's not your thing you might not.

I also like their meatballs. A lot of the daily specials are really good. I had an amazing salmon in a kind of Spanish sauce. We are talking like a homestyle version of food, not New American cuisine, but it had really good flavor and was enough for two meals.

Their home fries are also different than typical diner home fries. They don't use paprika--which is a miracle because everyone else does and  I can not  stand paprika on potatoes. It's like a mildly useless spice IMO. When you ask for them well done they are so crispy and delicious.

I'm allergic to eggs so I order a side of beans with potatoes, tortillas, and avocado for breakfast and it's great.

This place is the kind of place that becomes your second home because it's close by and affordable and you figure out what is really good and stick to it.

The owner is also super nice!!

I didn't expect to come to this place honestly.  I was originally planning a falafel dinner, but it was raining and I figured to give this place a shot.

I've wanted to find the best eggplant parm hero in the area (it's a tough picking) so I decided to try this place out for takeout.

For one - on a side note - this establishment has the feel of a local place in the community.  The workers are fairly young and seem to be from around the Gardens.  The place itself is nothing extravagant or fancy to maybe appease the youngsters or gentrifiers.  However, it's a simple, small, and relatively cheap place to get a little bit of whatever you want from breakfast food to burgers to individual pizzas (note that I'm a pizza by the slice guy for the most part when around in NY).  It kinda fits the vibe on Skillman Ave.

With that said, the eggplant parm was actually pretty decent for what I've had before.  The hero wasn't a decent bit soft and palatable unlike some of the other places where I've eaten nearly burnt bread.  There was a generous amount of cheese to eggplant ratio.  No complaints from me.

For $7 it's a pretty damn good deal to me.  It's a place I'll make my way back to in the future.

It'll do. It's a no-frills, not-too-spacious, not-too-pricy small diner. The coffee is good, Foods really good, service is quick and the people who work there are amazing!

I wish I would've found this place sooner! I would've came here every morning while in sunnyside! The food was great; great service; and very clean. Juice presser for fresh juice. The lunch portion off the menu looks great as well. I got the spinach and feta cheese omelette with a coffee. I'd definitely get it again. Don't pass this place up!!!

Great for breakfast!  Good food at good prices. Attentive service and clean (unlike most diner/cafe type restaurants).

Lovely space, reasonable portions and great coffee. Perfect spot for an early Sunday brunch!

Delicious pizza. I ordered today for a late lunch. It was hot and fresh when it arrived. Buffalo bbq chicken pizza with slices of grilled chicken was great. A Greek salad was a decent size for the price for a small. And an order of chicken wings. Split the order with my boss and it easily could have been for 3 people that's how much food there was. I would definitely order from Skillman Famous Pizza again!

Downright nasty rude, racist and arrogant waitress! On 5/13/2019 at exactly 3:01pm, I entered a ~completely empty~ restaurant and asked for a bacon omelette. With a stone cold face she pointed to the menu, "No breakfast after 3:00pm." The place was empty and it was pouring outside. I said - 'you have eggs, you have bacon and you are not making a single dime in this place and you won't sell me an omelette?'  She arrogantly pointed to the menu spewing such nasty coldness. She is a regular there, always condescending, always in a bad mood/nasty, never ever a smile and the owner/manager doesn't see it or just lets her get away with it, while the other ladies there are so warm and friendly.
When I returned later to photograph the empty place, the owner/mngr tried to excuse it as "a misunderstanding" while she arrogantly looked on. She has a LOT to learn of communication skills, and customer service.
I have been a customer there for 19 years, I love their meatball parmesan heroes, I will NEVER set foot in there again!
